watching the blood

spill onto the floor.

she faced off

with her demons;

they won, like

they always do.

Fight

Shall I spit my teeth out

and hand them to you

Or

Shall we continue on

with these spiteful jabs.

One Day

 

One day you wake up,

tired of it all;

The pain and heartaches

aren’t worth it anymore.

Then you wake up one day,

willing to live.

To fight through the struggles

and become whole again.

All it takes is one day.
